Sus principales áreas de investigación son: 
Diseño e implementación de efectivos algoritmos exactos y heurísticos. para problemas de optimización combinatoria y sus aplicaciones en problemas reales, en particular, programación de actividades, ruteo de vehículos, logística, planificación y programación de la producción, y cadena de suministro forestal.
